My Supernote won't turn on. What should I do?

In the vast majority of cases, the Supernote does not turn on because the battery is too low or the device is in deep sleep mode. 

Follow the steps below in order, without skipping any.


Step 1 – Charge the device (mandatory)


  1. Connect your Supernote using a USB-C cable.
  2. Preferably use a mains charger (not a computer USB port).
  3. Leave the device connected for at least 30 minutes.


The Supernote logo or a progress bar may appear.

You can also swipe down from the top of the screen to check the battery icon (top right corner).


Important

E-Ink screens do not refresh automatically.
The device may appear to be off while it is charging.


Step 2 – Check the cable and charger


If nothing appears after 30 minutes:


Check that:

  • the USB-C cable is not damaged
  • the charging port is clean
  • the AC adapter is working


Try:

  • another USB-C cable
  • another AC charger


Step 3 – Force restart


If the device is frozen or unresponsive:

  1. Press and hold the power button for 8 seconds.
  2. Release the button.
  3. Press and hold the power button again for 8 seconds.
  4. Release when the Supernote logo appears.


Step 4 – Reset hole


If the forced restart does not work:

  1. Take a pin or an unfolded paper clip.
  2. Gently insert it into the reset hole next to the power button.
  3. Press for about 5 seconds.
  4. Remove the pin and wait for the device to restart.


Step 5 – Leave the device alone (last resort)


If none of the previous steps work:

  1. Leave the Supernote alone for up to 3 days
    without charging it
    without pressing any buttons
  2. After this period:
    charge it overnight
    using a different USB-C cable or charger


This step allows the battery to fully discharge, which is sometimes necessary.


When should you contact support?

Only contact customer service if:

  1. no logo appears after completing all of the above steps
  2. the device does not respond even after trying several chargers and cables
  3. the Supernote is new or was received recently


Remember to specify:

  • the model (A5 X / A6 X)
  • what you have already tried
