Step 1 – Confirm that it is a dead pixel
Make sure the mark is not caused by ghosting or a frozen image.
- Refresh the screen using the sidebar gesture.
- Restart the device.
- Check whether the same pixel remains visible on different pages.
If the mark stays in exactly the same position at all times, it may be a dead pixel.
Step 2 – Contact customer support
Once confirmed, please contact support for assistance.
Dead pixels require evaluation by our support team to determine the appropriate solution.
What is NOT a dead pixel
- afterimages that disappear after a screen refresh
- marks that move when turning pages
- temporary display artefacts during refresh
When should you contact support?
Contact customer support if:
- the pixel remains permanently visible in the same location
- the issue is visible on all pages and menus
- the device is new or was received recently
Remember to include:
- your device model (A5 X / A6 X / A6 X2 Nomad)
- clear photos of the screen showing the dead pixel
- when you first noticed the issue
- whether the device was recently received
